Arabian in Graphite

Here's a little pencil drawing I came across hiding in one of my drawing pads. One of the things I love about graphite is it is so much faster than prismacolors. It is now kept safely in a Itoya folder.

Colored Pencil Drawing Update

Here's what I have so far on my Scribbles drawing. I am not quite satisfied with the bosal quite yet, but there is a few things I can still do to it. I have started blocking in her muzzle and forelock. Her mane and neck will most likely be the last thing I do, because it will have to be careful and tedious work since the hair is all white. There is also a chance I might change the reins up that attach to the curb bit. I might change them to romals. Here's a close up:

Colored Pencil WIP

It has been a long time since I have worked in colored pencil, and I really enjoy it so much. This is a friends paint mare that I took a picture of specifically for this drawing. I usually do the tack first, then the eye and then the rest of the horse. Sorry that the picture is not great it was show with a zoom lense that has a macro feature and I couldn't get far enough away from it.

Indy and Scarlett

These two are work in progress. Indy I have been working on a long time. I had a hard time figuring out what kind of grey he wanted to be, and finally settled on this shade. He is done in pastels and has little etched hairs all over. The pan pastels I bought really sped up his progress. I hope to mostly finish him over winter break.

Scarlett has been done entirely in pan pastels, and I think she will be done soon, eventhough I have a lot of smoothing and shading to do. She isn't quite so blue in person, but I am going to add more brown to her.

I have a ton of other nekkid resins to work on, hopefully I will have more to report on soon!
