Stomper and Jelli

Started the first couple coat of pastels on mini peasant stomper and jellibaby. Stomper is scheduled to be a blond chestnut, and Jelli is a baby grulla. Sadeek got some more work and is coming along nicely, and Indy is so close to being done. I glossed his eyes and finished two of his hooves.

WooHoo!

I was accepted into the Graphic Design Program at Sac State! I am really hoping to be able to paint most of what is sitting in the china cabinet resin wise this summer, now that I don't have to worry about what I am doing for school this fall. I just started etching a lady phase to a overo paint. She isn't a serious project, but something I am going to pick at while watching tv. Otherwise, I have been playing around with Dreamweaver to try and create a decent website for my artwork, and have been playing around with photoshop and illustrator doing little projects here and there.

Driving Horse in Graphite

I did this for my portfolio for entry into the graphic design program. While there are still some things I would like to adjust, it is done as far as submitting it for school. It will be trimmed and mounted on a board for the portfolio. Once it it really finished I might have some prints made up of it.

A few models listed to MH$P

I have decided to list a few models painted by myself to MH$P. I never get to live shows and these critters are just sitting on the shelves. First a Taboo
Then a little G2 TB SMMore to be listed. You can check my adds under Mandi Gregory.

So close!

Indy and Scarlett are so close to being done. Sadeek got another coat of oils and is looking a lot better. I have two new little additions coming to the nekkid herd- Jellybaby! I was able to snag two from the last batch. So exicted about this little resin. However, I will most likely not be able to work on much until the end of May when my graphic design portfolio is turned in and I know if I got into the program or not.

Pictures finally...

I have some picture of works in progress. The first two are almost done and just need a few details before I list them for sale. I have to warn that my camera takes everything to the extreme when shot indoors, and makes all the reds really bright and everything really contrasty. I will have better pictures when these guys are all done and I can take them outside.

The next two are a little farther from being done, but they are getting there. Scarlett and Indy are both about at the same stage, which works out well when it comes to doing the details like eyes and hooves. First Indy:
Next Scarlett:
Then Whisper. This guy is staying with me. He is a loose portrait of my filly's dad Will Spot Ya:

Last but not least, are Stormwatch and Sadeek, both in their first stages of oils, and both have the uglies going on right now.

Small Updates

I have not been able to work on anything for a couple weeks, but I do have a couple pieces so close to completion. I have a bay Smittyn resin that just needs a little detail to the hooves. She has four white socks and a stripe. Such a cute little resin! I have a little sm Morgan, but I can't remember his name or who sculpted him, but he is a dark dapple gray done in pastels. He also just needs some hoof detail and will be ready to go. I will most likely list both of them on MH$P when ready. I would love to go to some live shows, but the closest one to me doesn't exist anymore, and it is tough to justify a overnight trip to show some models! The Stormwatch has a first coat of very light grey paint on his mane, to start covering up the red primer. The Indy is so close to being done, I pretty much finished his mane and tail, and will have some details still to do.

I am going to try and get some current pictures soon!
